Mission Statement and Philosophy          

Mission Statement Landmark Christian Academy's Bible-based program is directed by a staff of caring, dedicated, and professional Christian workers. Our staff members are role models of Christian living, and they are open to the Holy Spirit's direction as they maintain professional relationships with staff, students, and their families. Our mission is to provide a loving and secure environment where each child can develop spiritually, socially, emotionally, intellectually, and physically. We are committed to providing quality education to each student in a caring Christian environment and to minister to our students and their families regardless of their religious beliefs or church attendance patterns.

Philosophy Christian education has its foundation in the Creator-man kind relationship taught in the Bible. It is a process wherein a child's character is formed by instruction based on the truth of God's Word in all areas of life.The responsibility for education rests upon the parents. They may delegate part of this responsibility to an institution able to carry forward this God-given task. The authority of the teacher in discipline and character training comes from the fact that the parent has placed the child in the teacher's care.The student is a spiritual being created in the image of God. Therefore, the student is capable of learning, knowing, and obeying the Word of God. The student can gain an understanding of the structure and order God has placed in His creation. As a person of God's creation, the student has physical, moral, intellectual, and social needs to be met inside the boundaries of God's Biblical laws. As the student grows and matures in faith, he or she will develop Christ-like character and will learn how to responsively serve Christ as part of God's sovereign plan. We believe that each child develops at his or her own pace and should be treated as an individual. Children are encouraged to be creative. The most important area of experience, however, is their awareness of God's love and God's order in which attitudes, discipline, and emotions develop in a Christ-centered environment. We believe comprehensive education should be age-appropriate and based on solid child development principles. It should address the child's development in the following areas:

• Development large and small muscle dexterity
• Receive stimulation for creative mental development

Landmark Christian Academy is a private Christian school located in the heart of Cary, NC. We provide a safe and loving environment and quality Christian education. LCA offers traditional classroom education for grades K3-K5 and 1st grade. Small class size and low student-teacher ratios are beneficial in these grades as teachers have the opportunity to focus on the individual student and their specific needs.

The Learning Center is comprised of grades 2-12. At this level, the students are educated through the Bob Jones DVD curriculum.  Although students learn mostly by interacting with the dvd's, they are monitored by highly educated teachers who are present to answer questions and administer tests and projects. This method of education has proved very effective over the years and continues to produce skilled graduates. The evidence of its quality can be observed through our students' performance when tested at the national level.

Landmark Christian Academy offers an excellent education with affordable tuition. Tuition is based on a ten-month payment plan. We provide a discount to families who enroll more than one child.
